Affiliate disclosure & methodology
Honesty about how we earn matters. Here's exactly how SatoshiMacro makes money, the standards we apply, and how we decide who makes our recommendations.
How we earn
SatoshiMacro is a review and comparison site funded through affiliate partnerships. When you click a link to a broker, prop firm, or crypto exchange from our site and open an account with them, we may earn a commission. This commission comes from the provider's marketing budget . Not from you. You pay the same price (or lower, if we've negotiated an exclusive offer) whether you use our link or go directly.
This is standard for the financial comparison industry. What we do differently is make sure the recommendation is honest regardless of the commission structure.
How affiliate partnerships affect reviews (and how they don't)
What we don't do:
- We don't rank brokers based on commission size. A broker paying us twice as much will not rank higher than a better broker paying less.
- We don't remove negative findings. If a broker has problems, we say so, even if we earn commission from them.
- We don't accept "sponsored posts" disguised as editorial content. If it's sponsored, it's clearly labelled.
What we do do:
- We only join affiliate programs for providers we'd recommend in the absence of commission.
- We disclose every affiliate relationship on every page where relevant.
- We use
rel="sponsored nofollow"tags on all affiliate links per Google's guidelines.

Review methodology
Every broker, prop firm, or exchange review is built on a consistent framework:
1. Regulation (35% of overall score)
ASIC regulation is our primary requirement for Australian-focused reviews. Secondary validation from FCA (UK), CySEC (EU), or SEC (US) adds credibility. Providers with only offshore regulation (SCB, VFSC, FSA Seychelles) are flagged explicitly, and we explain what that means for your investor protection.
2. Trading costs (25% of overall score)
Real spread testing at open, mid-session, and close. Commission structures. Overnight swap rates. Inactivity fees. Deposit/withdrawal fees. We compute total cost of trading a typical day-trader portfolio, not just the headline spread.
3. Platforms & execution (20% of overall score)
MT4, MT5, cTrader, and proprietary platforms tested on real accounts. We measure execution speed, slippage on news events, and whether stop-loss and take-profit orders are honoured consistently.
4. Australian experience (15% of overall score)
PayID and Osko support. AUD base currency accounts. Local customer service hours. Physical AU office (or lack thereof). Tax reporting support. All factored into the AU-specific score.
5. Customer service & education (5% of overall score)
Live chat response times. Phone support availability. Quality of educational content. Account manager accessibility for higher-tier accounts.
Fact-checking and updates
Every review is fact-checked against the provider's current website, regulatory filings, and ASIC's public database at publication. We update reviews at minimum every 90 days, more often when material changes occur (regulatory changes, fee changes, new platform launches).
If you spot an error or something that's out of date, email us and we'll verify and correct it within 48 hours.
